Proud Crossfit Moment
Ever have a workout that terrifies you in the beginning... And once you keep going you realize you can actually accomplish this. Even if it takes a little more time than usual.
That was the feeling with this workout. So proud after finishing this one...

Caught up on Crossfit
Finally! Finally I have found a program that I am sticking with and seeing results. I'm feeling great, healthy, and strong.
I love it... I love Crossfit.
I just completed Week 7 and I am still going strong.
What has helped me stick with it?
- I keep a journal of all the workouts I do. It helps me keep track and gives me something to look back on to review my progress.
- I take photos of each WOD and my results at the end.
- I've met lots of people that are just as motivated.
- Catching my husband checking me out. I think this is the best part!
I'm obsessed. I love seeing the difference in photos, too. Can't wait to post more again!
Yay for being happy!!!

Key West Sites
I love working in Key West. I get to see some beautiful things, and some crazy things. Here are a few from the last couple weeks.
Photo Dump - Weekend Trips
So, we go to Walmart when we go out of town. Aren't we fun. :)
We don't only go to Walmart... I promise we visit family, too! This time we headed to Ryan's hometown. It is small and quaint. Wish I took more photos. Maybe next time...
I snapped some shots while visiting. There was a big storm rolling in, so the sky looked amazing. And I am always a sucker for plants.
We later went to visit some more relatives. They currently live in England and made the trip over. We were able to see them for a bit. It was great because they brought over their little one! He is adorable!!
For the last leg of the trip, we saw Ry's parents and uncle. It was a short visit, but a fun one.
We are looking forward to more visits soon!!!
Photo Dump - Kristin's Birthday
Dare I say it... In this small family of ours, we love to eat. For most special occasions, we typically go out to dinner and eat. A lot. This one trip in particular was to celebrate my birthday. I was dying to check out this restaurant called Santiago's. Many people gave great reviews, so we went to check it out. I wish I took more photos of the dishes we ordered, because we certainly did not capture all of them.
We had everything from a spring spinach salad, to mussels, to frog legs! Everything was delish!!! I enjoyed a white wine sangria and savoring each bite.
It was a great way to start my next year. Looking forward to next year when we can try out another place!
Simple 4th of July
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July holiday! Ours was delightfully simple. Small gathering of friends, delicious meal, sparklers and mortars. It was definitely a fun time! I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer!!!

I Scream, You Scream...
We have been itching for some ice cream recently. I had a brilliant idea of walking to get ice cream. I figured we both want to start working out again and this would also be some quality time together.
Well... Two miles and one sweaty hour later we arrived to Shirley's at the local plaza to try some of their delicious frozen custard! Their shoppe was fun with vintage chairs and fun decor on the walls.
The frozen custard hit the spot! It cooled us off just long enough before we started the two mile, one hour hike again.

Knock Off Bracelet
My first DIY post!
I have seen numerous knock-off posts of various kinds. Finally I decided to do one. Good thing, I found I am a good knock-off-er. Bad thing, I am new to photographing my DIY projects, so I do not have any step-by-step photos to post for this one. First time for everything, right?
I did find step-by-step instructions and a kit to make your own here. She has great photos, lots of easy directions and her kits have lots of fun colors! I am partial to the bright blue - I love that color!
I happened to have all the supplies at home, lucky me!
Here are a couple photos of my finished product.

Sunday Funday
Happy Father's Day to all those amazing dads out there!
I visited Smather's Beach for the first time. It was nice and quiet and surprisingly empty! I guess dad's don't care for the beach on their special day...
Since I did not get the opportunity to spend this day with the important men in my life, I opted to go catch some rays!

After I was all beached out - I headed over to hang out at a pool in town. Sipped on a frozen margarita, caught up on some Kindle reading, and enjoyed beautiful bright colors of spring.
It was a nice, relaxing day. Except now I am sunburned... Oops... I didn't reapply enough!
How did you enjoy your Sunday, with or without dad?

A fresh start...
So, why the name change to key lime anchor?
Living in the beautiful Florida Keys, I have gained a new affinity for those lovely little citrus gems. The juice tastes great in my cooking and my ice water. They also make for a delicious pie or martini.
I like to think that an anchor has taken a new symbolism in my life. Living here, my husband and I have more opportunities to go out on the water and enjoy time together. I also feel the Florida Keys in my new anchor - my home. We are planning on being here for a while and I am looking forward to every minute.
I hope this blog becomes a journal of life, inspiration, creativity, and love.
Let's do this!

7-27-27
No... That is not a date in the future. That is my new goal.

I have been struggling for several years now to lose, and keep off, those last 7-10 pounds. Now that my birthday is right around the corner, I am using it as a great focus to get rid of them.
It is going to be tough, but I know I can do it if I set my mind to it. I may even do updates. (I need to, I have totally neglected this thing since real life started getting real again.)
This will kick off on February 27th! Wish me luck!
